Your role

As an Aromatherapy Specialist, you will lead the development and refinement of unique scent profiles for our skincare, cosmetics, and wellness products. Your expertise in aromatic ingredients and perfumery will play a key role in shaping our product offerings, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. So, what can you expect to work on?

• Design and refine unique scent profiles that align with our brand identity and product goals
• Produce compelling blends and aromatherapy formulations on a laboratory scale, considering regulatory, qualitative, and production requirements (e.g., availability of essential oils, pricing, etc.)
• Source and evaluate natural and synthetic aromatic ingredients, ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing standards
• Monitor global fragrance trends and consumer preferences to inform product development strategies
• Work closely with product development, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure fragrance compatibility, safety, and compliance with industry regulations
• Oversee stability testing and quality control processes for fragrances, ensuring consistent, high-quality results
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of formulations, tests, and evaluations to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Share your knowledge and expertise within the organization, enhancing the team’s understanding of fragrance creation and olfactory design

Your profile

• A degree or certification in perfumery, chemistry, aromatherapy, or a related field, with proven experience in fragrance and scent development
• Cosmos / Natrue guidelines / knowledge is desired
• Expertise in aromatic materials, fragrance formulation, and olfactory design, with a strong understanding of natural and sustainable ingredients
• Familiarity with IFRA guidelines and other global regulatory standards
• Strong creativity and sensory skills, coupled with a detail-oriented and methodical approach
• Experience in laboratory-to-production-scale processes, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize during upscaling
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English – German proficiency is a plus!
• A passion for innovation, sustainability, and creating products that inspire and delight

Sunday Natural emerged from a long-standing passion and research in the fields of health, healing, and personal growth. The lack of natural, high-quality products on the market was the original motivation for founding Sunday Natural in 2013. We aim to produce the products we ourselves would love to buy – as natural as possible, absolutely pure, free from any additives, and of the highest quality. In a strategic partnership with CVC, Sunday Natural is now one of Germany's most renowned quality manufacturers, with its own research and development department in Berlin. For the continuous improvement of our products, we collaborate with selected research institutes, scientists, therapists, farmers, and professional associations.  

We take our ecological responsibility very seriously: Our entire range is therefore vegetarian, mostly vegan. We also go our own way when it comes to packaging: the majority of our products are packaged in glass and are therefore almost completely recyclable.
