Your role

We're in search of an experienced Senior Data Engineer to bolster our vibrant team of six. In this role, you'll assume a pivotal role in furnishing technical and architectural guidance, spearheading the design, implementation, and optimization of our data infrastructure, pipelines, and models. Collaborating seamlessly across departments, you'll engage with business stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of actionable data. Here at Sunday Natural, our Data team is unwavering in its commitment to maintaining superior data quality, availability, reliability, and scalability throughout our data ecosystem. Our 'ideal' candidate match will possess practical proficiency with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Google BigQuery, coupled with a proficiency in constructing Python pipelines and utilising dbt for modelling and transformation. 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows using Google BigQuery, dbt, Prefect, and Tableau
• Create and implement data models and machine learning algorithms for efficient data transformation
• Identify and troubleshoot data-related issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide data engineering solutions, integrating with Bloomreach/Exponea, Salesforce, Zendesk, Magento, and Odoo
• Monitor the performance of the data platform and introduce adjustments aligned with business development
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and apply them to enhance our data infrastructure

Your profile

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineer, data architect or similar roles, handling complex data projects and building data pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL and proven experience in building ETL pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Datastream, as well as dbt
• Ability to understand the broader technical infrastructure and the role of the data platform within it
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Bloomreach Exponea, Salesforce, Tableau, Magento, and Odoo will be advantageous!

Sunday Natural was born out of a long-standing passion and research in the areas of health, healing and self-development. The lack of natural, high-quality products on the market provided the original motivation for founding Sunday Natural in 2013. We want to produce exactly the products we would like to buy ourselves. As natural as possible, absolutely pure, free of all additives and with the highest possible quality. Sunday Natural is purely privately financed, independent and today one of the renowned German quality manufacturers, with its own research and development department in Berlin. We cooperate with selected research institutes, scientists, therapists, farmers and professional associations for the continuous development of our products.

We take our ecological responsibility very seriously: Our entire range is therefore vegetarian, mostly vegan. We also go our own way when it comes to packaging: the majority of our products are packaged in glass and are therefore almost completely recyclable.
