Your role
The Head of Performance Marketing at Sunday Natural will oversee, drive excellence and push for technical innovation across paid performance marketing, including Meta, Google, and other platforms. The role still requires deep operational expertise and jumping in hands-on when needed. It requires coordinating across Influencer Marketing, Marketing Data Science and Martech resources. This role requires a strategic, analytical, and tech-savvy leader who can challenge their teams, align strategy with performance execution, and allocate budgets with a clear understanding of both measurable and non-measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Collaboration
Build a team of platform experts (approx. 10 FTE), ensuring collaboration and constant knowledge exchange to enable data-driven, scalable, and innovative execution
Act as a sparring partner to your team, challenging assumptions, engaging with their expertise, and providing clear guidance to support complex decisions
Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement to drive innovation and executional excellence
Budget Allocation and Decision-Making
Own the marketing budget allocation across your channels, ensuring optimal investment across platforms and channels based on overall business strategy, incremental impact, and well defined KPIs while allowing room for strategic experimentation and innovation
Align performance-driven goals with broader product strategy and growth objectives, balancing competing requirements
Ensure your channel specific needs are considered in the continuous advancement of the measurement framework
Analytical and Data-Driven Excellence
Drive a highly analytical approach to channel decision-making, questioning numbers, exploring connections between KPIs, and understanding their underlying drivers
Collaborate closely with the Data Analysts to develop insights that shape strategy, challenge assumptions, and inform budget allocation
Ensures that strategies and ideas are actionable and executed with urgency, moving beyond contemplation to tangible results.
Campaign Execution and Technology Affinity
Support your team in day-to-day campaign management when needed
Demonstrates a solid understanding of how automation, algorithms, AI, and technology shape modern marketing execution, from bidding systems to personalization
Push for technical solutions and automation for repetitive tasks and/or complex decision making
Explore new tools, features, and innovations, ensuring that promising ideas are assessed, tested, and swiftly translated into actionable outcomes or deprioritized based on clear evaluation.
Cross-Department Collaboration and Alignment
Aligns with the CRO team to improve landing pages and foster testing, ensuring that insights and ideas translate into concrete experiments and measurable improvements.
Partners closely with content and asset production teams to deliver platform-specific creative that is not only innovative but also actionable, testable, and performance-driven. Works with senior management to align marketing strategies with overarching business objectives, ensuring plans are backed by data, executed efficiently, and evaluated for impact.
